YEAR END INFORMATION
   

First read the 2004 Year End Processing FAQs before processing the IRD updates. This needs to be installed prior to printing 1099 and W-2 forms. If you are using Magnetic Media this needs to be installed prior to creating your year-end file.

If you have questions about your year end closeout - ask us before you begin!

You can make the 2005 Tax Table changes after your 2004 Year End Process is completed. Make certain NO ONE is in MAS, and you have read and followed the 2004 YEAR END process instructions.

STEP TWO:  

2004 Interim Release (IRD)

The Interim Release Download contains the Year End Program Changes for Accounts Payable, Magnetic Media Reporting, and Payroll. You can obtain a 2004 IRD CD directly from SAGE in the mail, or you can install the IRD from this webpage by clicking the 2004Q4IRD.exe link.

Note: This IRD ONLY applies to MAS 90 and MAS 200 versions 3.71 and 4.0.

This IRD is NOT required for MAS 90 and MAS 200 versions 3.72 and 4.05.

(Accounts Payable, Magnetic Media Reporting, and Payroll)

Installing the IRD ******CAUTION******

If you have AP or MR modifications to your MAS 90 or MAS 200 system, installing the IRD might overwrite them. Contact your Master Developer before installing this IRD if you have AP or MR modifications.

1. Make sure NO ONE is using MAS 90/200. Make sure all sessions are closed.

2. To install the IRD on the current workstation, click the 2004Q4IRD.exe link.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. When a message appears stating that the IRD installation is complete, click the Finish button.

The IRD is now successfully installed.

STEP THREE:  
If Year End Process for 2004 is complete, then update the 2005 Q1 Tax Table.
